Resources on Responsible Alcohol Use
The
Navy Exchange advocates responsible alcohol consumption and actively
supports the Navy's alcohol deglamorization and safety programs. This
page provides our customers information and links to resources to
help combat "Drinking and Driving" and alcohol abuse.
That Guy.com is a cutting edge,
highly interactive web site that includes sessions like Anatomy of
That Guy, Evolution of That Guy, interactive activities, video confessions,
and much more. That Guy is a regular guy, but when he's had few toomany,
it shows. He loses control and he may not remember it in the morning.
How funny is it when That Guy has his head in the toilet or gets arrested.
When we see him in action or see the consequences he faces, he is
a reminder to all of us: “Don't let me be That Guy”.
Navy Alcohol
and Drug Abuse Prevention (NADAP) provides information and assistance
to support individual and command alcohol abuse and drug use prevention
efforts.
Naval Safety
Center provides safety assistance and advice to the CNO, CMC,
and the Deputy Assistant SECNAV for Safety in order to enhance the
war fighting capability of the Navy and Marine Corps, preserve resources
and improve combat readiness by preventing mishaps and saving lives.
The
Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions (CSADD) was
developed by young sailors to encourage safer behavior among their
peers. Their web site contains valuable information and is designed
and managed by young sailors. The mission of CSADD is to provide military
members of all branches with the best prevention and intervention
tools possible to deal with the issues of drinking, reckless driving,
and other destructive decisions while maintaining good order and discipline.
